Submission Process & Categories
PLEASE NOTE: As of the 2025 CDIO conference, the abstract then full paper process has been changed to a single-phase submission process. A full paper (full description for workshops, working groups and roundtables) is required at time of submission.
The review process for working group proposals will follow a streamlined review process this year, typically conducted by a small sub-committee, allowing for earlier feedback and notification
Full paper submissions for Papers and Activity Descriptions for all other categories must be completed on or before 16th January, 2026.
All submissions are made online via ConfTool, the link to this will be published soon
Submissions must follow the formatting requirements detailed in corresponding templates below and must include a Creative Commons License to allow it to be included in the proceedings and/or archived on the CDIO website.
Furthermore, at least one of the authors must register by the final submission deadline, participate in the conference and present the contribution. If no author is registered by the deadline (1st May 2026), the contribution is considered withdrawn from the program.
View the detailed Call for Papers for full details on the process, categories and tracks.
